Unlock the full potential of your PS2 with the PS2 Retro GEM Kit; a console-specific install kit that enables seamless integration with the PixelFX Retro GEM system.
What It Is
This kit includes all the hardware components needed to retrofit a PS2 console to work with the the Retro GEM mod: flex cables, mounting brackets, a mini HDMI adapter board, and other accessories.
The HDMI output is delivered via a mini HDMI cutout in the case.
⚠️ Note: The Retro GEM board itself is not included in this kit. This is the PS2 side installation hardware. The GEM board (Basic or Shiny) must be obtained separately and soldered in.
This kit can be installed into Fat PS2 models; however there are some restrictions.
The following motherboards are available:
- GH-015 (SCPH-3000X/3500X)(Coming Soon)

- GH-026 (SCPH-5000X)
* Requires RePS2 PSU or (SCPH-5000X PSU + SCPH-5000X Metal Shield)
The mini HDMI output setup :

no cut -> sacrifice 56k modem port (only applies to slim models with 56k modem)
cut -> Cut hole in case back (only applies to slim models without 56k modem)
Ideal Use Cases
You already own or plan to buy the PixelFX Retro GEM board for your PS2 and need the console-side installation hardware.
You’re comfortable performing advanced soldering and internal hardware mods (this is not a plug-and-play solution).
You want a clean, internal digital HDMI output with future firmware and filter upgrades available.
Things to Keep in Mind

Case Modification Required - The PS2 toslink must be sacraficed to accommodate the mini HDMI port.
Thermal & Shielding Adjustments - Use the included thermal pad and modify internal shielding to ensure stability and prevent interference.
Firmware & Jumper Setup - You must set the GEM jumpers correctly and attach the WiFi antenna, then test output before final reassembly. Pixel FX Documentation
